As a former member of the RAAF, Shane turned to Townsville shopfitting in 1985 to pursue his interest of carpentry and joinery. Whether Townsville shop design or complete Townsville shop fitout.
Having worked in Townsville with other shopfitting companies, Shane decided it was time to venture into structuring his own business. H Design & Fitout was set up with a view to providing clients with a unique blend of quality workmanship, modern functional designs and well-proven materials. To date over 200 shops in Townsville have been manufactured and installed by S. Rather than have a large staff of expensive multi-skilled employees, S. H Design & Fitout believes that expert tradesmen should be used in every area of the manufacture and installation.
And the Townsville joinery which is SOH Design was born and began Townsville Commercial Fitout projects. These three elements still remain the basis of every S. By working only with approved sub-contractors not only does this reduce overheads (and hence the price the client pays), but it also enables the very best mix of skills to provide the client with a far superior installation.
The company is directed by hands on owner Shane O'Hara who has been a qualified Townsville shop fitout engineer since the 1980's.
Shane has honed the skills that he has structured the business around and has diversified into the Townsville shop design industry as a 'hand-in-glove' specialist niche service that assists the company to better serve their clients.
We are a reputable Townsville joinery company that has developed expert skills based on more than 30 years trading in the region.

By early 2013, I was quite jaded with this whole process of dating, meeting someone, and then feeling disappointed when things didn’t turn out to be the way I wanted.
One thing was that I was very badly burned by this one guy (let’s call him N) I met during my dating-immersion phase.
While I initially thought he was a good match, he turned out to be toxic.
In the few months we knew each other, I was incredibly unhappy.
Our connection started with me being misguided by his, at many times IMO, non-platonic behavior.
He later apologized and clarified that he wasn’t looking to be romantically involved, something which I found incredulous due to his contradicting behavior, but accepted nonetheless.
Subsequently we had many conflicts even as friends, with him often berating and putting me down, leaving me feeling very lousy about myself.
