This article describes the steps necessary to connect to your Cradlepoint through your computer.
Your computer only allows one network connection at a time.
If you are trying to connect to the 5GHz wifi, there will be a 5g after the last 3 of the routers MAC address.
Note: If your router has multiple ethernet ports, DO NOT use the WAN port to connect a computer.
WAN ports are usually colored blue and/or labeled with an icon that looks like a little monitor; they are intended to be used to connect devices that provide internet, such as Cable, DSL, or Satellite modems.
If you see a message about Validating Identity upon connecting to the Cradlepoint router, it means WEP security mode is enabled.
To resolve this issue, disable 802.1X feature on your Windows computer.
Sometimes when the settings of the client device and the router don't exactly match, the client won't see the router's Wi Fi network. If you're running in this issue, try the following: Check if there are other wifi-capable client devices (laptops, tablets, phones, etc) that CAN see the Cradlepoint's wifi network.Scenario 1: Just one device cannot see the wireless network, while others can.I recently bought a new Linksys wireless router and after setting it up with basic WEP security, I tried to logon from my laptop and was successful! So then I tried to connect from my desktop computer that has a wireless USB adapter attached to it and I ended up getting this error message: Fabulous! I checked my settings on the wireless router to make sure I didn’t accidentally setup certificate security, but found no such thing. Also, since I was able to connect from my laptop with no problem, it led me to believe it was something wrong with my desktop. After about 30 minutes of fiddling around with various settings, I was able to figure out what the problem was.
